Each week during the American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, WRNC Currents features a different program about indigenous people from around North America and the world. This week we step off the continent and head South to Australia, where host Dheera Sujan presents two deeply moving personal accounts of Aboriginals who were taken from their homes at an early age and "relocated" to be schooled and molded into mainstream white culture.

New for fall 2008, WRNC announces a new underwriting program. Local businesses, organizations, and even individuals can now show their support for WRNC by supporting one or more of our diverse programs.

The lines are back up at WRNC. We've got a new phone and a new number. The new station request line is 682.1342. Call your DJ today and give 'em some love!
