Aztec dance group on Pura Vida tonight

AztecDanceGroupThe Aztec dance group Danza Mexica Cuauhtemoc performed at Northland College on Saturday, March 9. The group is a community of people dedicated to the preservation of Mexica/Azteca culture, ceremonies, arts, traditions and more. They combine entertainment with education in a high energy dance and drum presentation. The event was part of Indigenous Cultures Awareness Month put on by the Native American and Indigenous Culture Center at Northland College. Following the performance, DJ Suave of WRNC’s Pura Vida caught up with Danza Mexica Cuauhtemoc. The interview will air during Ashland’s Spanish music show Pura Vida today, March 11, at 10 p.m. on 97.7 WRNC, Northland College Community Supported Radio.
